Kings Pointe Resort…COUNTDOWN! {Omaha Summer Weekend Getaway)

The boys (and let’s be honest, me, too!) are so excited for our upcoming trip back to Kings Pointe, A Water Resort in Storm Lake, Iowa.  They are planning which water slide to ride first, who gets to sleep where, etc, etc.

I love that Storm Lake is just a few hours away…making it a great weekend getaway spot for people in the Omaha, NE area.  You get to drive past corn.  And corn.  And a train track.  And corn.  Pretty awesome, really…I mean, it was like looking at a preview of your meals for the next few weeks. 😉

I really love how family friendly it is…there are life jackets for the kids (keeps this mama at ease), many shallow water play areas, and even kid friendly water slides, which Ethan LOVED…I need to see how tall he is now, that fearless boy will be all over the taller slides if he’s reached the height limit.

And if you so make it to Kings Pointe Water Resort…take a picnic lunch down to the lake.  We found some picnic tables and had a great time hanging out at the lake.

So, if you are in Omaha and looking for a little getaway…check out Kings Pointe Resort…we had a great time and I am sure you will as well.  You can find another review here with LOTS of great pictures of the whole place!

***All opinions my own…my family was upgraded last year from a queen to a queen suite or something like that at no additional charge.  This year we get a to have a better deal, but more on that once we go!***
