What to do for FREE in Omaha: Gingerbread Display at the Mormon Trail Center

This is starting to become a tradition for us to visit the gingerbread exhibit at the Winter Quarters Mormon Trail Center.  We did miss two years (2009 and 2010), but we love when we are able to attend.  3215 State Street Omaha, NE 68112 (402) 453-9372

2007, with friends from MyOmahaMommies.com

2008, with brand new baby Ethan and my parents

2011, with the cousins visiting from LA

2012, with one grumpy Ethan

The displays are so lovely every year.  It amazes me how intricate some can get with their displays every single year.  I have yet to make one for this event, but this year Brennan did with his Cub Scout Troop and we got to go as part of his group to check it out.  The boys LOVED it (and so did I!).  If you are anywhere near the Omaha area from now until Christmas, check the display out.  It’s 100% free and worth the trip.  The hours are 9-9 every single day, even Sunday’s.

Brennan’s Gingerbread House….pretty good if I do say so myself.

The Home Alone House (from the movie..even had Kevin in the window)

2 LDS missionaries teaching the Grinch, lol…spreading the love of Christ.
